The 70th Conference and Exhibition of the European Association of Geoscientists & Engineers (EAGE) was held in Rome, 9th-12th June. The event, which also included “SPE Europec 2008”, reviewed progress in the technologies for the Exploration & Production of petroleum and gas.
This is the most important conference and exhibition of its kind, and is an opportunity to provide an update on the technologies available for Petroleum and Gas Exploration and Production. During the conference the latest advances, which will enable a renewal of the world portfolio of reserves and improve the recovery rate from the hydrocarbon reserves already in production, were reviewed.
SIAD participated in EAGE 2008 with a stand which displayed the latest EOR (enhanced oil and gas recovery) technology, which uses nitrogen gas that is injected directly into petroleum and natural gas deposits to improve efficiencies in the extraction process.
