Between 4th-8th June 2008, SIAD Romania exhibited at the Bucharest Exhibition Centre, on the occasion of Indagra Food, the first show dedicated to products and equipment for the food industry in Romania.

In Bucharest, Indagra Food, the number one national Romanian fair showcasing the food industry ended recently. 300 companies participated in the event, 131 of which came from 21 foreign countries. Taking place at the same time as Indagra Food was also the twelfth edition of Expodrink, an international wine, alcoholic beverage and drinks show, boasting a participation of some 60 companies which hailed from six countries.
Indagra Food owes its existence to the experience gained from Indagra, an exhibition embracing the entire food production industry with the current fair being a fine-tuned and more specialised version of the previous one, with the aim of dividing the market into its various sectors. This was Romexpo’s response to the many requests from exhibitors to present strictly the food element of the industry, separating it from agriculture and animal husbandry and placing, thereby, more exhibition space at their disposal.
SIAD’s participation is further confirmation of the company’s desire to become a point of reference for businesses operating in the food sector throughout Europe.
The purpose of the SIAD stand was to demonstrate the benefits obtainable from using technical gases in the food industry, to visitors to the show. In particular, technologies for cryogenic freezing and for packaging in protected atmospheres (MAP) were highlighted, thanks to which, it is possible to extend product shelf-life and increase the sales of SIAD clients operating in the food sector.
