SIAD Healthcare signs distribution agreement with French Company EndoControl®
With this new partnership SIAD Healthcare is not only strengthening its presence in the minimally-invasive surgery market arena but is also positioning itself at the forefront of the introduction of high-tech equipment into the medical field.
EndoControl® is a relatively young Company and highly skilled in the development of integrated systems (Hardware and Software) for robot assisted laparoscopic surgery.
The ViKi® system is the result of 6 years’ research and prototype development in collaboration with Grenoble University.
The ViKi® System is made up of the following components: a console with software which analyses the surgeon’s instructions and activates motors; a passive arm fixed to the rail of the operating table and a motorised tower positioned just above the patient’s abdomen; control interfaces.
Its “plug and play” system makes set-up easy for OR staff, cleaning, sterilizing as well as portability make it extremely user-friendly.
ViKi®, the revolutionary architecture of which has been developed by and for clinicians, allows surgeon to have full control over the scope and to avoid many intra-operative pitfalls and limitations by offering:
Increased stability and quality of the endoscopic image.
Increased precision and surgical reproducibility.
A wide range of intra-operative modes such as a multifunction footswitch, voice-activated movement and Bluetooth microphones.
