PIRELLI GOLF CUP 2008

On 29th September 2008, the Èeladná Prosper Golf Resort hosted the IVth annual Pirelli Golf Cup, which is organised by International Sports Marketing s.r.o. in close collaboration with and under the auspices of the Italian-Czech Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Moravian-Silesian Regional Chamber of Commerce.

From 8 o’clock in the morning until 6 o’clock in the evening, the golf course at the Èeladná Prosper Golf Resort saw participants undertake the 36 hole Golf Marathon Challenge, and other competitions, “under” the colours of the general partner Pirelli, and the main partners Alfa Romeo, Lancia, SIAD Czech, Gripen, Scuderia Praha, mmotion 08 and Víno-St Joseph.
After 6 o’clock, the clubhouse started rocking to the music of the Jazz Efterrätt jazz band. Two mime artists mingled with tournament participants whilst everything was made ready for the gala announcement, which was to be preceded by a charity auction of the Pirelli calendar. The auction and the subsequent announcement of the tournament results were conducted by Mrs Ivana Christová and Mr Pavel Halamka, 16-time billiards champion of the Czech Republic.
The fantastic final sum of CZK 35,000 secured the winning bidder a Pirelli calendar, and the PHOENIX Charity Fund a contribution to projects for a cosmopolitan regeneration farm for the needy called Osoblaha, revival of cultural activity in rural areas and regions of the Czech Republic, support and development for traditional folk crafts and therapeutic programmes with animals. The symbolic cheque was accepted by Mr Karel Loprais, member of the charity fund’s administrative board.
